Pain of Parenting

Today was not a good day. Have you ever felt like giving up? Really just driving off a cliff, giving up? Sometimes your kids treat you so badly that you have to wonder why you are even alive. It’s bad enough the day it happens, but it is beyond horrendous when it happens week after week. My wife and I are just about ready to throw in the towel. Not with the marriage, but with the kids and simply being alive. 

What is going on you ask? 

My wife’s family has turned their back on her. Her own mother said she was worthless, and then later called APS on us. Her sister, mother and brother all favor our oldest daughter and ignore the two boys we have. On top of that the boys give me, the father more attention, and ignore their mother. They give her evil stares. They talk to her like she is the enemy. As a result of family hating on her, and her own kids hating on her, she is about ready to leave this world forever. She doesn’t want to be here anymore. It is heartbreaking. 

I honestly have no idea how to help her, or the situation. Something is going on with everyone, and I have no clue as to what I should do to fix it. 

All I can do is pray, read the bible, and continue earning as much money as I can for the family. Other than that, I am lost. If you have any suggestions, I am all ears.
