My purpose in this writing is to explain why I believe the church will be raptured before the start of the 7 year tribulation.

It will happen without warning.

• The doctrine of imminence. It could happen at any moment.

“For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2

I honestly do not see how the rapture can occur after three years into the tribulation because it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore. Once the anti-Christ makes a treaty with Israel you know the tribulation is underway. It wouldn’t be a surprise anymore.

For those left behind I can see how they would be confused and caught off guard. The following verse sets a distinct difference between them and us. The ones that remain and the ones that are in the light.

“While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.”

1 Thessalonians 5:3

• Another reason is because of the timeline in the book, Revelation. After it addresses the churches it goes on to the events after that. The events after that include the wrath of the Lamb:

“and they *said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;”

Revelation 6:16

We are NOT destined for wrath.

• The bible says that we are NOT destined for wrath. What is the wrath of the Lamb? Hell, or specifically the tribulation? For one thing it is never referred to as the lake of fire that I can tell.

“For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,”

1 Thessalonians 5:9

Encouraging one another with these words.

• Not to mention that we are to encourage one another with these words. How encouraging would it be to go through the first 3 and half years of the tribulation?

“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11

so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.

1Thessalonians 5:6

Others literally means “the remaining ones”. If they are remaining at the point they are saying peace and safety then they are the ones left while Revelation talks about the white horse. The first horse. The one that comes and conquers with peace.

This is why I believe in the pre-trib rapture. I encourage you to do your own research. I welcome your comments and input.
